A plan to offer alternate dispute
resolution seminars in Latin America is in development. The program would
consist of sessions in ethics, commerce, and international banking, utilizing
legal expertise from law schools, the judiciary, and professional legal
community in Louisiana, the only state in the United States whose Civil
Napoleonic Code interfaces with most Latin American Countries.
The
Cordell Hull Foundation proposes to conduct short-term (two-to-five day)
specialty courses in Latin America taught by legal experts from the United
States and drawing from the respective Latin American country host. CHF is
currently seeking grant funding for support.
